Our Story

From a small-town dream to Monroe's gathering place

Meet Heather Fulcher

Owner & Monroe City Council Member

Heather Fulcher is the heart behind Monroe Coffee Co. As both the owner and a member of the Monroe City Council, she is deeply invested in the community she serves. Her passion for great coffee, faith, and bringing people together inspired her to create a space where neighbors can connect face-to-face — no screens, no distractions, just genuine conversation.

Under Heather's leadership, Monroe Coffee Co. has become more than just a place to grab a latte. It's a community hub where neighbors browse the books and greeting cards, families gather on Saturday mornings for fresh cinnamon rolls, and friendships are formed over freshly roasted coffee.

Meet Jody Fulcher Dennett

Bean Queen Behind the Scenes

Jody Fulcher Dennett is the bean queen behind the scenes, working intentionally to support the mission of Monroe Coffee Co. She loves her job roasting coffee and chasing down new coffees to test with Heather. It is a team effort, and they've been a team all of their lives.

Do be careful if you decide to ask coffee questions, as Jody will probably nerd out and talk about the coffee cherry being the best fruit she's ever eaten.

The Sisters Behind the Counter

Monroe Coffee Co. is family-owned and family-run. Heather and Jody pour their hearts into every roast and every conversation at the counter. Click any photo to view it larger.

What We Believe

Community First

We intentionally don't offer Wi-Fi. We want our shop to be a place for real conversation and genuine connection — the way coffee shops used to be.

Faith & Fellowship

As a Christian-owned business, our faith guides everything we do. From the books we carry to the way we treat our customers, we strive to reflect God's love.

Quality Craftsmanship

We roast our own coffee beans in small batches right here in Monroe, ensuring every cup is fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

Home Town Heart

Located on Main Street, we're proud to be part of Monroe's downtown community. We support local events, know our regulars by name, and love our home town.

Our Journey

Monroe Coffee Co. started as Pilot House Coffee and has grown into a beloved community landmark. When Heather took the helm, she brought her vision of a place that combines great coffee with faith-based community. Along with our coffee, we offer Christian books, greeting cards, and Bible naming & imprinting — perfect for gifts and milestones.

Today, we're proud to serve Monroe and the Snoqualmie Valley with freshly roasted coffee, inspiring reads, and a warm welcome. Whether you're a longtime local or just passing through on Highway 2, we'd love to meet you.
